Technical Help for RealPlayer

I get an error message that the "application is not found".

• You do not have any RealPlayer software installed. Download RealPlayer Basic for free. You only need the free RealPlayer Basic version. You do not need RealPlayer Plus to view this file.
  

I cannot see the captions for the video.

• To enable captioning in RealPlayer:
  • On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  • In the Category pane, click Content.
  • Under Accessibility, select one or both of the following check boxes:
    Use supplemental text captioning when available
  • Use descriptive audio when available
  • Click OK.

I get an error message that the "application is not found".

• You do not have Windows Media Player installed on your computer. Download Windows Media Player for free. When the Microsoft Web page opens, it will recognize what upgrade is needed and make a suggestion on what you should download.
  

I cannot see the captions for this file.

• For Windows Media Player 10 and 11:
  
  • On the Play menu, point to Captions and Subtitles, and then click On if Available.
  • Try playing the media clip again.
  • If the problem still occurs, click Options on the Tools menu.
  • On the Security tab, click to select the Show local captions when present check box, and then click OK.

• For Windows Media Player 9:
  
  • On the Play menu, click Captions and Subtitles, and then click Closed Captions.
  • Note the captioning at the bottom of the video frame.

• For Windows Media Player 7.0/7.1/8.0:
• Click on the Show Equalizer Settings button.
• Cycle through the equalizer settings until the captioning text appears.
• Captioning will appear in the block below the video.
