Early Intervention

Easter Seals Western Pennsylvania's Venango Division is an Early Intervention provider in Venango County.  As an early intervention provider, we believe that:

• All children with special needs should have access to programs and services that will help them to develop physically, socially and emotionally to their fullest potential
• Services to participants in this program should be provided in the most natural setting appropriate to the child's and families needs
• A family centered approach - involving parents and siblings in the design and delivery of services - is crucial to a positive outcome for the child and for the well being of the entire family unit.

Early Intervention Services are provided to children who meet the State defined eligibility criteria: developmental delay, or a congenital or acquired condition that presents a challenge to their ability to communicate, play, move, socialize, think, control their behavior or eat.

Easter Seals and the Venango County Early Intervention Program staff work together to assess the child's needs, enroll them in the program, and develop appropriate services.

All Easter Seals early intervention services are provided in a one on one family based program by qualified licensed therapists and teachers.
